Reading a mediator's calendar
Schedule shows one mediator's month at a time. It's the screen you open when counsel asks "when is she next free" and the screen you open to make her free.
One mediator at a time
Pick the mediator in the dropdown above the calendar; the arrows beside the month name move you through the months. For a view across several mediators at once, use the availability report on Sharing a mediator's booking page.
Half-days, not days
A day is two slots, not one. The mediator's morning slot defaults to 9:00 AM and the afternoon to 1:00 PM, and each one is booked, available or not available on its own. That's why the shot above shows two entries per day — Aisha Bellamy's September is Not Available on both halves of most days.
The three states in the legend:
- Booked — a case is on it
- Available — open for booking
- Not Available — the mediator doesn't work that half-day
A fourth state isn't in the legend but you'll see it: a date on hold paints amber. Those can't be clicked. See How to put a mediation date on hold.
Notes and case types on a slot
Hover a slot and a ⋯ menu appears. It carries notes, which work on any slot, and on an open slot it also carries the corporate codes and case types that slot accepts.
The two buttons at the top
Open Monthly Availability is how you open and close dates in bulk — see How to open up a mediation date.
Availability Report builds a shareable text list of this mediator's open dates, ready to paste into an email to counsel.
