Tracking inquiries
An inquiry is a date request that hasn't become a booking yet. Counsel rings asking whether Renee Castellano is free in October; you log it, you pencil the dates in, and either it converts into a case or it dies. Inquiries is where that lives so it isn't in your inbox.
The tiles
Total Inquiries, In Progress, Converted and Conversion Rate, all obeying the date range, Status and Mediator filters at the top. NewCo has none logged yet, which is why every tile reads zero.
The list
One row per inquiry, carrying the mediator, the requesting party and their firm, the status, the follow-up date and an On Hold column showing the dates you've pencilled in for them.
What an inquiry does for you
Three things:
1. It keeps the request and the firm's details in one place instead of a thread. 2. It lets you hold the dates so nobody else books them while the firm decides. See How to put a mediation date on hold. 3. When it converts into a booked case, the holds you placed are released automatically. You don't have to go back and tidy up.
